Continuous variable-time, wage status. Attend the head office at least twice per month to inspect the property and complete routine tasks. Work additional hours when projects, repairs, seasonal requirements, or urgent situations arise.

The Head Office Maintenance Person is responsible for helping ensure that the Gilbertine Institute’s head office building, grounds, fixtures, and equipment remain safe, functional, orderly, and in good repair. This is a flexible, part-time position suited to an experienced and dependable individual who is comfortable completing a broad range of general maintenance, repair, installation, and property-care tasks. The Maintenance Person will normally attend the head office at least twice each month to inspect the property and complete identified work, with additional hours scheduled when larger projects, seasonal needs, or urgent repairs arise. The Maintenance Person will work from a task list maintained by the designated manager while also proactively identifying maintenance concerns that require attention.

The Gilbertine Institute is hiring an instructor to teach high school Chemistry and Biology. Familiarity with both the Alberta Program of Studies, Curriculum resources, and home schooling is essential.

Depending upon the expertise and availability of applicants, The Gilbertine Institute is open to hiring full-time or part-time teachers.

Certificated staff are not required to be members of the ATA, but remuneration will be commensurate with the standard grid in Alberta, based upon years of experience and years of education. Staff participate in a group benefit plan.

The Gilbertine Institute encourages candidates to apply immediately, as the need for orientation and preparatory work merits hiring qualified personnel as early as Summer 2026 for an in-service orientation in August. Teaching to commence September, 2026.
